ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Interpreting insurance policy wording, determine policy coverage’s
• Setting up appointments with the insureds
• Provide customer service experience for policyholders and prompt and equitable settlement. Explain claim process to insureds
• Investigate, interpret and confirm coverage issues
• Appraisal and adjustment of complex property claims. Evaluate, negotiate and make final settlement
• Work in collaboration with assigned contractors
• Complete replacement cost on contents and the evaluation of building damages

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4+ years’ experience as a property claims adjuster
• Excellent knowledge of building construction, the insurance processes and the insurance industry and legislation
• Experience in settling complex property claims
• Knowledge and ability to work with programmes such as Guidewire and Xactimate
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Commitment to providing outstanding customer service
• Proficient keyboard skills and computer literacy, word and Excel
• Well organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with others to reach goals
• Highly motivated and able to work well independently
• Enrollment or willingness to enroll in Insurance Institute courses
