The Field Safety Representative is responsible for conducting on-site safety inspections across DSI job sites, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting field teams in maintaining compliance with OSHA, customer, and company safety standards. This is a junior level role ideal for someone looking to build a career in safety within the construction and energy sectors.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, HSE (Health, Safety & Environment), or related field preferred; 2 or more years of equivalent field experience will be considered
• OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30, H2S, or Safeland preferred
• Strong observational, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to travel regularly, including air and ground travel to remote job sites
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Conduct regular on-site safety audits and inspections across Texas job sites
• Identify and document safety hazards or violations, and work with crews to implement corrective actions
• Support field teams with safety guidance, toolbox talks, and orientation training for new hires
• Assist with incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking
• Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, client, and DSI-specific safety procedures
• Travel to the Bakken oil fields (North Dakota) approximately one week per month to inspect job sites and support local teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of safety visits, findings, and follow-ups
• Collaborate with the Safety Manager to continuously improve DSI’s safety programs
