ROLE DESCRIPTION Our client is seeking a driven and technically minded Field Sales Representative to join their UK team, focusing on B2B sales in the Northern region. This is a customer-facing role ideal for someone who thrives on building strong professional relationships, solving complex challenges, and delivering sales growth. The role involves frequent travel across the region; therefore, candidates must be based in or near Manchester, Leeds, or Sheffield, with easy access to the motorway network. The successful candidate will work closely with distributors and industrial customers, providing technical support, developing tailored solutions, and managing accounts with a balanced focus on new business development and existing client retention. Full training will be provided. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Support and develop relationships with distributors and B2B customers across the North UK region Drive regional growth by expanding existing accounts and generating new business opportunities Provide technical support via phone, email, and on-site visits to recommend and implement solutions Troubleshoot and resolve customer complaints and application issues effectively Deliver technical training sessions and new product introductions to distributors Attend trade exhibitions and support promotional activities and product launches Manage sales leads, track project progress, and maintain accurate CRM records Prepare pricing and quotations, offer account support, and liaise with internal teams including customer service and credit control. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE A-levels in two science subjects and mathematics Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite Proven experience in B2B technical product sales Technically minded with the ability to understand complex products and customer applications Entrepreneurial mindset – able to manage a territory as if it were your own business Based in or within commutable distance of Manchester, Leeds, or Sheffield Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the North UK region DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Background or education in chemistry, engineering or a related technical field Additional European language skills Experience working with distributors and integrators in industrial or manufacturing sectors Familiarity with CRM systems and sales pipeline management Experience supporting trade exhibitions or product launch activities
