Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development and Execution:
  • Formulate and implement the sales strategies and objectives for the assigned area to achieve revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the company’s footprint by securing new accounts or enhancing relationships with existing customers.
  • Team Management:
  • Lead and motivate the field sales team to meet individual and team sales goals.
  • Provide training, coaching, and development support to the sales team.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
  • Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to develop sales forecasts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales activities, performance, and market insights to senior management.
  • Distributor and Retailer Relationship Management:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, retailers, and wholesalers.
  • Ensure timely delivery and distribution of products to the right outlets.
  • Work closely with the retail network to improve visibility and positioning of the products.
  • Market Intelligence:
  • Analyze customer and market data to identify areas of opportunity and potential threats.
  • Track competitor activities and develop counter strategies to protect market share.
  • Promotions and Marketing Support:
  • Work in collaboration with the marketing team to execute promotional campaigns, discounts, and offers in the field.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of promotions and suggest improvements based on customer feedback.
  • Sales Targets and Performance:
  • Set realistic but ambitious targets for the sales team in line with company goals.
  • Ensure the team consistently achieves or exceeds sales targets through effective planning and execution.
  • Product Knowledge and Training:
  • Keep up to date with the latest product information, features, and benefits.
  • Provide training to the sales team on new products and promotional activities.
  • Customer Service and Satisfaction:
  • Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction to foster long-term relationships.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. MBA (preferred).
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in an FMCG field sales role.
  • Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of FMCG products, market trends, and sales techniques.
  • Proficient in using CRM tools, MS Office Suite, and other sales-related software.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Deep knowledge of the local market and consumer behavior.
