Job Description We have a great opportunity within our field sales operation at Yell for a dynamic field sales manager, to drive new business acquisition through inspiring leadership and direction of a team of Business Development Managers. This role will cover Yorkshire and Humberside, You must be based on patch. As a front-line Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of up to 10 Business Development Managers in a fast paced and dynamic sales environment. The key objectives of this team will be to find, win, retain and grow new businesses, selling our portfolio of industry leading digital marketing solutions. Your focus as the Sales Manager will be to coach, develop and guide your team members, whilst following a structured sales process and ultimately delivering profitable revenue growth for the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 8-10 sales professionals to achieve individual and team targets. Coaching and Development: Provide ongoing coaching and development to all team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill enhancement. Sales Process Management: Ensure adherence to a defined sales process, working closely with team members to refine and optimise strategies for increased efficiency and success. Revenue Delivery: Take ownership of revenue targets, implementing strategies and initiatives to ensure consistent achievement and exceeding of sales goals. Performance Tracking: Implement and maintain robust performance metrics to track individual and team progress, regularly reporting on key performance indicators. Training and Onboarding: Facilitate training sessions and onboarding programs for new and existing team members, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Best Practice Implementation: Drive the adoption of best practices within the team, leveraging your experience to cultivate a high-performance sales culture. Qualifications Essential Requirements: Clear understanding of a sales methodology/process Proven track record of developing new teams and new business leads. Target-driven with the drive and determination to deliver outstanding results Digital marketing industry knowledge preferred but not essential – including experience selling or qualifications in digital marketing strategies, platforms or products such as online directories, websites, social media or Google AdWords Experience within solution selling / SAAS Comfortable with high level spending clients Demonstrable success working within a B2B sales environment both F2F and virtual Google certified or relevant digital qualifications – preferred but not essential Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback Proficiency with Microsoft applications including PPoint and common customer success and customer relationship management software such as Salesforce (CRM) Full UK Driving Licence - with no more than 6 points Excellent relationship building skills, with the ability to challenge, influence and give advice to clients Excellent written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills Thrives in a high-pressure environment and quick turnarounds, and delivering work that exceeds customer expectations Personal Profile: Excellent Coach Problem Solver Growth Mindset Analytical and strategic thinker Organised Adaptability An excellent communicator with the ability to explain complex digital information clearly and concisely.
