Description The Field Sales Representative is accountable for direct sales and customer service support to Automation-X’s customers with a focus on new customer growth and increasing regional market share. This position is responsible for customer-facing visits, phone, email and customer cold calling. The Field Sales Representative works with customers in the field to deliver Automation-X’s products and solutions, ensuring sales goals are achieved. The Field Sales Representative reports to the appropriate Sales Manager (if applicable) or the National Sales Manager. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities? Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively Deliver and exceed sales targets Build Sales Pipeline and Regional market share Attract & Maintain Key Customers Customer relationship building Detailed knowledge of Automation-X’s products and solutions Provide technical knowledge and support of Automation-X Products including application assessment for customer sites battery builds, and configuration assistance Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction of Automation-X’s products and solutions Timely reporting of customer meetings, conference calls and expenses External & Internal correspondence Enter customer interactions into CRM Retention and growth of existing customers Travel to meet customers for face-to-face meetings Collaboration with regional sales team on account strategies Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Minimum of High School Diploma Required Oil & Gas Instrumentation and Electrical / Automation experience Preferred Skills and Abilities? Takes pride in exceeding customer needs and Automation-X goals & KPI’s Strong attention to detail to ensure we are providing our customers with the correct automation solutions Excellent customer relationship skills to work proactively with customers and other team members Solid verbal and written communication skills Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM systems Ability to represent Automation-X with professionalism and build strong relationships with our customers Excellent understanding of power, communications, and measurement. Control and electrical aspects of wellhead products a plus Work with internal departments to ensure customer engagement and customer satisfaction Working Conditions and Physical Demands The Field Sales Representative role operates in a professional office environment, appropriate to the office and working conditions. Travel Required Some travel may be required at times Field visits and ability to drive or ride in a vehicle for long distances required Some customer visits and sales call routes may require start and/or stop times outside of normal 7:00am to 4:00pm working hours
