Description:
For over 25 years, UNO FOODS INC. has been a leading importer and distributor of Asian food products to the grocery, convenience store, and food service industries.
We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starting individual who has a passion for sales and excels in customer service to join our team as a Field Sales Representative. In this role, you will be on the front line as the primary point of contact for various customer accounts including independent stores, chain stores, and food service establishments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid British Columbia driver’s license
- Must have reliable vehicle to use every day. You will be required to use your own vehicle every day. A monthly car expense reimbursement will be provided.
- Language proficiency - must have strong English verbal, written, reading and communication skills. Must be able to speak Tagalog (Filipino) and/or Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
- Familiarity with Filipino food products and Asian food is an asset.
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated and goal oriented
- Post-secondary education or equivalent
- Previous sales experience preferred in a Field Sales role booking orders.
Responsibilities:
- Travel throughout the Greater Vancouver Area to call on accounts and book orders, resolve client issues, conduct accounts receivables, coordinate deliveries, manage credits and returns.
- Generate sales through a variety of accounts including independent stores, chain stores and food service.
- Develop strong relationships with accounts, identifying opportunities to maximize growth.
- We are a results driven organization; you must be proactive, planning for and execute sales plans, merchandising plans, upselling and closing sales.
- Actively maintain all aspects of account management by coordinating with various other departments including accounts receivables and shipping/receiving.
