Description

ABOUT ABBOTT MOLECULAR

At Abbott Molecular, we are pioneers in molecular diagnostics, dedicated to advancing healthcare through the power of DNA, RNA, and protein analysis. With over 1,000 employees and more than 450 products marketed in over 130 countries, we are committed to delivering innovative solutions that enable earlier disease detection, targeted therapies, and effective monitoring.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently seeking a FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER to join our team in the Benelux region. This is a FIELD-BASED ROLE with a geographical scope covering BELGIUM, THE NETHERLANDS, AND LUXEMBOURG. While travel across the region is required, the PRIMARY FOCUS AREA WILL BE THE NETHERLANDS so RESIDING IN AROUND THE HAGUE–ARNHEM, OR NEAR THIS AREA IS HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical support to our customers, ensuring optimal performance of our molecular diagnostic systems.
This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with a strong understanding of laboratory environments – ideally with prior lab experience, who thrives in a dynamic, customer-facing setting.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Fluent in English, with good command of Dutch and preferably French
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% across the Benelux region

WHO YOU ARE

You are a technically skilled and independent professional who enjoys working in the field and managing your own schedule. This role offers a high degree of flexibility and responsibility, and we’re looking for someone who thrives in that environment. You have a strong interest in troubleshooting, identifying root causes, and delivering hands-on technical solutions. Experience in or around laboratory settings is a big plus. You’re comfortable with frequent travel across the Benelux region and enjoy being on the move to support customers.
