Description

A global manufacturer of End of Line equipment for car makers, and also a supplier of Service Garage equipment for car aftermarket is looking for a Field Service Engineer.
The KY Team is small, and we are looking for someone who has technical skills, but good personal match with the current team members. Most of the employees has been with the company for a while ,so it is very important for us to find someone who has history of a long employment history with previous companies. (We are not interested in job hoppers).
For this Field Service Engineer position, you will be primarily accountable for creating a positive customer experience during troubleshooting, by understanding and educating customers on system functionality, and ensuring consistent functional operation of the machines. (Expected travel is up to 50%).

REQUIREMENT FOR FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years working as a Field Application Engineer, or equivalent experience in previous roles.
  • Minimum 3 years working or internship, a co-op in the automotive or machinery industry.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with an understanding of customer relationship building.
  • This position includes working in manufacturing and/or warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment problems at customer site.
  • Perform installations, repair, retrofit, upgrade, and maintenance equipment installed at customer sites.
  • Gather customer feedback and use cases and be the conduit to Product Development.
  • Prepare technical documents outlining customer use and defining the technical solution in support of sales.
  • Maintain and manage an assigned installation equipment base. This includes providing primary support, forecasting, conducting customer support meetings, and ensuring regular communication with the customer.
  • Support customers in the training of the system functionality and key safety features.
  • Maintain communication with the customer to ensure a positive product experience.
  • Formulates and drives framework for service requirements and future field support requirements.
  • Prepare technical service reports that document field issues that can be used for future product improvements.
