Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Field Service Engineer, it will be your responsibility to represent Howden worldwide and collaborate with our diverse pool of clients to provide technical assistance during overhaul, repair, maintenance, fault finding, installation and commissioning of reciprocating gas compressors. You will also provide a full engineering service support for our customers and develop and manage exceptional customer relationships through excellence in terms of technical capability and through personal interaction with customers. This an international role and will require you to travel abroad and offshore when required.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Carryout all aspects of reciprocating compressor service and maintenance including all ancillary equipment at customer sites in the UK, offshore and abroad. This will involve working on routine jobs individually or on more complicated projects as leader of a team.
Identify tooling and spares requirements
Keep accurate records of times worked and submit a signed timesheet on a weekly basis.
Works Closely and Communicates with; sales department, purchasing, other CPI divisions.
Identifies opportunities for emergent work and liaises with sales to ensure that CPI make the most of any on site outage feedback/intelligence or emergent work opportunities
Works to achieve specific objectives set by Field Service Manager
Available to travel to customer sites to join teams and/or troubleshoot problems as required
Ensuring compliance with the rules and regulations relating to Health, Safety and the Environment
Attend safety meetings where required. Complete accident report forms as and when required
Conduct accident investigations as and when required.
