Damen Digital Solutions, a Damen company with a focus on added value from data, is maturely expanding during the upcoming years to secure the connection with shipowners and support them by data driven solutions.
Damen Digital Solutions makes data applicable to her stakeholders by making validated knowledge available and enabling ship efficiency, design improvements, operational improvements and much more by means of tools, data and data analytics. The company will take a leading role on three technical knowledge pillars; informatics and computer science, measurement technology and data analytics and -science, by developing and applying state-of-the-art know-how. This know-how is presented to customers via the online platform called Damen Triton.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Independently perform service, maintenance and commissioning work of our system on board various vessels;
• Support new building yards to install and commission our monitoring hardware on board of our standard ranges;
• Actively anticipate on deviations popping up during the project;
• Collaborate with system suppliers for setting to work data interfaces;
• Reporting of the activities executed, record as built information;
• Able to manage working on remote locations.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• A degree (MBO level 4) in electrical engineering, automation or equivalent;
• You have good analytical skills and work accurate;
• Excellent command of the English language, Dutch is considered a pré;
• Driver’s licence type B
• Availability of 40 hours per week, flexible to travel.

You will be responsible for installation of our system on board the vessels.
It’s a hybrid role where you will support the yards where Damen is active.
This is possible remotely, but sometimes you will travel to do practical work on board yourself for retrofits.
These travels can be both abroad and closer to home / Gorinchem. Enthusiasm for, and affinity with data systems on board of our vessels is needed.
