The Field Service Engineer - DP Hardware, is responsible for the execution of requests for field service including installation, troubleshooting and repairs of the company’s Dynamic Positioning software products and systems worldwide.
A. The Field Service DP Engineer is responsible for the following duties both in office and on service location.
3. JOB SUMMARY
· Complete service report
· Create internal and external backup software files
· Update project database
· Update drawings AS-Built if required
· Complete expense report
· Obtain customer acknowledgement of fees incurred while on service work
1. CORE TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES (OFFICE WORK)
· ICON DP (Formerly Rolls-Royce) Joystick system
· Environmental Sensor systems
· Liase with computer systems integration team for updates
· Remote service and support, on call as needed
· Service and support outside normal business hours
· Test and configuration (FAT/CAT) of spare parts orders
· Testing and repair of returned parts (RMA)
· Review warehouse stock and vendor lead times and inventory levels
4. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensure quality control in accordance with ISO-9001:2015
· Maintain safe work environment per company HSE standards
· Perform duties delegated by Manager
· Clearly explain technical issues and resolutions to both technical and non-technical personnel
