As a Support Technician (Field Service Engineer), you will be responsible to maintain the products within the gaming operation across the region and estate to maximise the revenue and profit opportunity.
Ideally you’ll be located around the Southampton area but you will be expected to support a region and cover venues further a field when needed.

This role works closely with suppliers, support based teams and operations to ensure a quick response to product faults and to undertake product installations and alterations of layouts, ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with company policy and health and safety.

• Address faults / failures at speed liaising with the Technical Services Manager and clubs.
• Carry out gaming product moves as directed by the Technical Services Manager.
• Provide ongoing maintenance to all equipment, in order to reduce down time and fault occurrence.
• Update software when necessary, in order to keep all software based equipment fully up to date in line with company policy.
• Provide on-site training to club operations teams, particularly after new software or equipment has been installed.
• Assist IT where possible with day to day on site problems.
• Act as liaison engineer to sub-contractors carrying out equipment replacement and / or refurbishments in clubs under your control.
• Investigate and identify potential new technology to the technical manager that may offer operational benefit to the company.
• Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts in order to facilitate speedy repairs. Ensure all advance replacement parts returned promptly to the supplier in order to avoid additional costs to the company.
• To familiarize yourself with any new product or equipment so as to be able to repair it yourself and have enough knowledge to be able to talk operation teams through basic procedures that may minimize any product downtime.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work flexibly and open to new ideas.
• Team player with the ability to be able to work on their own initiative.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work effectively.
• From time-to-time, additional hours and overnight stays will required.
• Proven ability to maintain effective work performance while under pressure
• Proven experience as a Support Technician or similar role.
• This is a field based role you will be expected to travel each day to venues you are supporting.
