JOB OVERVIEW:

Jusung Inc is urgently seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Engineer III (Level 3) to join our team in Boise, ID. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of tools and similar semiconductor equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. As a Field Service Engineer III, you will work closely with customers to ensure optimal equipment performance, minimize downtime, and provide technical expertise across various stages of equipment operation. This position requires hands-on experience with complex systems, an analytical approach to troubleshooting, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. Additionally, you will act as a resource for junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the company.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  2. 4 to 7 years of experience in the semiconductor equipment industry required.
  3. (1) Experience in field service, maintenance, or technical support of semiconductor equipment.
    (2) Experience in field service, maintenance, or technical support of Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) tool (equivalent)
    (3) At least 1.5 years of experience in field service, maintenance, or technical support of Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) tool (equivalent)
  4. Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and systems.
  5. Proficiency in interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and system manuals.
  6. Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  7. Familiarity with vacuum systems, robotics, or automation.
  8. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  9. Willingness to travel to customer sites, when needed (domestic and international).
  10. No travel restrictions, either domestically or internationally.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with semiconductor fabrication processes (e.g., etching, deposition).

Responsibilities
  1. Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) tool (equivalent) Equipment Installation & Maintenance:
  • Install and set up equipment at customer sites.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
  • Conduct system upgrades and modifications as needed.
  1. Troubleshooting & Repair:
  • Lead complex troubleshooting and corrective maintenance.
  • Analyzes and improves system performance using advanced diagnostic techniques.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Escalate complex technical problems to engineering teams when necessary.
  1. Customer Support & Training:
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers on equipment operation.
  • Train customer personnel and colleagues (when necessary) on proper maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal technical teams.
  • Act as a technical resource for junior engineers, providing guidance and mentorship.
  1. Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain service logs, reports, and documentation for all customer interactions.
  • Provide feedback to engineering and relevant product teams on recurring issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  1. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives and implements new best practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in semiconductor manufacturing technology.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service efficiency.
  • Maintain a harmonious work environment and avoid creating discord.
