Contract Type: 6 Month rolling contract
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:30 (37.5 hours per week)
We are hiring Field Service Engineers to deliver high-quality IT hardware support across the UK. This role is focused on break-fix of Lenovo laptops and AIOs, light IMAC duties, Windows deployments, desk side support site cover, and hands-and-feet support. You’ll plan your own day around scheduled tickets, travelling between sites in a provided van, and working as part of a wider regional field team.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years’ field service experience in IT hardware repair
  • Confident in laptop diagnosis and repair, especially Lenovo models
  • Able to work independently, plan daily routes, and manage multiple call-outs
  • Comfortable with Windows deployments and following technical procedures
  • Full UK driving licence – daily driving required (no more than 6 penalty points)
  • I.T. Hardware toolkit required
  • No history that would preclude the applicant from gaining government SC clearance
  • Flexibility for start and finish times to suit the business
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent customer-facing skills

Responsibilities
  • Perform break-fix on Lenovo laptops and Lenovo AIOs
  • Carry out IMAC activities (Installs, Moves, Adds, Changes) for end-user IT equipment
  • Rebuild and image devices using standard Windows deployment tools
  • Provide basic hands-and-feet support for infrastructure tasks (e.g. patching, device swaps)
  • Provide desk side support site cover as required
  • Represent A&O IT Group professionally on-site
