JMC Packaging Ltd, a leading provider of packaging solutions for the food industry, is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team in Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and repair of packaging equipment at customer sites across the country. This role requires a highly skilled engineer with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, ideally within the food sector.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a field service engineering role, preferably within the food packaging or food processing sectors.
Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with experience in PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation systems.
Education: A relevant qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet customer needs.
Driving License: Full, clean driving license is required.
Installation: Install and commission packaging machinery and equipment at customer facilities, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
Servicing: Perform routine maintenance and servicing of installed equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Breakdown Response: Diagnose and repair faults on packaging equipment, often under time pressure, to minimize disruption to customer operations.
Technical Support: Provide technical support and advice to customers, including training on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, including detailed reports of work performed, parts used, and customer feedback.
Travel: Regular travel to customer sites across the North of Ireland / ROI
Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as the face of JMC Packaging Ltd. in the field.
Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, both on-site and within the company.
