The Field Service Engineer is responsible for conducting routine maintenance, installation, certification and repair of Beckman Coulter products at customer sites, including calibration, and electrical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts and production of Installation/Operation Quality documents.
This position reports to the Supervisor Field Technical Service Particle Counting/Characterisation and is part of the Northern Region Service team located in Ireland and will be working remotely to cover Dublin and surrounding area.

THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:

  • A minimum HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant technical subject
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally at all levels
  • Drive to continuously seek to add value to the services provided and achieve first time fixes, leading to reduced breakdown times, lower costs to the customer, thus enhancing customer satisfaction and retention.

TRAVEL, MOTOR VEHICLE RECORD & PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel with occasional overnight stays supporting both local territory and other territories as required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment service kits

IT WOULD BE A PLUS IF YOU ALSO POSSESS PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN:

  • IT literate, good knowledge of Microsoft Office products & confidence with other IT applications
  • Experience in a GMP environment
  • Fault finding skills
Responsibilities
  • Adhere to customer focused strategies to achieve business goals, increase customer satisfaction, whilst positioning Service Support as a positive sales differentiator in an ever increasingly competitive market.
  • Ensure Preventative Maintenance Inspections and modifications are completed within the specified time frames.
  • Implement accurate and timely completion of all paperwork, debriefing and reports and maintaining accurate car inventory.
