Do you want to play a leading role in supporting the technical needs of Philips Imaging customers and customer service partners? Would you like the challenge to work both individually and as part of a wider team to install, maintain and repair our wide range of technologically advanced imaging equipment.
Then the position of Field Service Engineer Northern Ireland (to cover Greater Belfast area) might be the right one for you!
In this role, you have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the wider organization to provide exceptional service to our customers, services include corrective & preventative maintenance, commissioning & installation of equipment and software & hardware upgrades to products within the Imaging Systems portfolio both on-site and remotely.

Responsibilities

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Operating at an advanced technical level to provide expert advice & solutions to our customers and colleagues. Your responsibilities will include;
  • Providing field based and remote technical support to customers and colleagues in line with relevant training and experience
  • Carrying out corrective, preventative, installation and field change order activities on complex healthcare systems
  • Diagnosing mechanical, hardware and software system failures using established procedures and information
  • Determining most cost effective repair/solution to minimize customer downtimeActively participating in an ongoing rotation with the Field Service Engineer team, providing customers with direct remote support during 5 day week

  • You are a part of a regional team of collaborative Field Service Engineers who are expected to work to the highest standards to ensure first class service is delivered to our customer base whilst ensuring Quality & Regulatory standards are adhered to in this heavily regulated industry.
    You are reporting directly to the Service Delivery Manager

IN THIS ROLE, YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • HNC (NVQ Level 4) or Degree in Electro-engineering or equivalent highly desirable
  • Experienced logical problem solver with ability to work independently
  • Experienced in carrying out corrective and preventative works for Imaging Systems devices and equipment desirable
  • The ability to process knowledge across multi-modality and diverse product ranges
  • Recognize new technologies and adapts to daily challenges
  • Deliver high levels of customer service
  • Competent in IT/Network diagnosis/system connectivity/Remote service desirable
  • You are currently living in the Greater Belfast areaDue to the role working in the healthcare environment, a standard DBS (Disclosure and Baring Service) criminal record check will be required for this role’.
