A fantastic opportunity has arisen here at Service Express! We are seeking an additional Field Service Engineer in the Dublin area to join our forward thinking employee focused organisation. This is a full time onsite position, where you will be working as part of a small team to provide a full installation, maintenance, and repair service to a key customer within the financial services industry. Travel to some other sites may be required so we offer you a car allowance or an electric car! We are looking for Engineers who are multivendor skilled. Not only will you be a skilled engineer, you will be able to build good relationships with your fellow onsite engineers and data centre employees to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained. Feels energized in a collaborative team environment? This role requires driving to different customer sites throughout Ireland for assigned service calls. You will use your own vehicle, we pay your car allowance and be reimbursed for travel expenses. What you’ll do: Customer Service Perform maintenance and repairs on data center hardware, including mid-to-high-end servers and storage devices Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues Provide exceptional service by responding quickly and efficiently to customer needs Communicate with confidence to ensure customers feel supported and their concerns are addressed Identify and proactively escalate potential technical issues Assist with data center relocations and inventory audits Technical Knowledge Interpret maintenance manuals and collaborate with engineers to resolve complex issues Troubleshoot technical problems efficiently while managing multiple tasks Stay updated on industry advancements through training and certification programs Serve as a technical expert during sales calls when needed Document and share resolutions to improve team knowledge and efficiency Account Management Prepare thorough audits and maintain documentation of service calls Proactively analyze and prepare for service calls to ensure quick and effective solutions Maintain accurate records of service activities, expenses, and customer interactions Collaborate with internal teams including purchasing, operations, and sales What we’re looking for: Strong troubleshooting skills with at least a basic knowledge of computer hardware - Any vendor, not specific to IBM Someone who is looking to learn and open to cross training Availability for on-call rotation to support customer needs Prior field service experience is a plus but not required A+ and/or Server Plus certifications preferred but not required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and reaching What we offer you: Comprehensive training program – we hire the will and train the skill! €60,000 - €75,000 based on experience Access to best-in-class support teams Opportunities for personal growth & career advancement Paid volunteer hours On-call 1 in 3 weeks, standby rates total additional €4,000 - €5,000 per annum Onsite and remote work Overtime Private healthcare scheme Service Express is an equal opportunity employer.
