POSITION SUMMARY:

At Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., we are seeking an exceptionally dedicated Field Service Engineer who will be based in Malaga. This is an outstanding opportunity to join our world-class team and contribute to the flawless maintenance and repair of critical laboratory equipment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Trade and/or Engineering (Electrical/Instrumentation) Qualifications.
  • Experience in a technical support role is preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of equipment within the portfolio and experience in calibration and repairs of electrical, pressure, and/or temperature calibrators.
  • Experience in a laboratory or other quality-regulated environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.
  • Professional appearance and a positive, upbeat attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate repair and calibration of equipment to certified standards.
  • Meet and exceed customer expectations for accuracy and turnaround time based on our strictly determined service level agreements.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers regarding the progress of instrument calibration, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Complete all activities in a professional and reliable manner to ensure customer happiness.
  • Perform calibration, maintenance, and repairs according to QA and NATA accreditation in pressure, temperature, and electrical calibrations.
  • Assist the service organization in achieving their revenue targets through the completion of calibration, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Foster partnerships with our customers by offering outstanding advice and technical support.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to communicate customer needs and achieve sales and margin targets.
  • Work under the supervision of a NATA signatory to ensure all accreditations are met.
