Role: Field Service & Installation Technician
Location: Cork
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday plus 1 in 5 Sundays on-call from 11am to 4pm
Salary: €31,200 per annum plus On-Call and Overtime, paid monthly
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Contract with an initial 6 month probationary period
ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a candidate to join our Field Service & Installation Technician team.
This is a hybrid role. The successful candidate will spend 50% of their time supporting our large estate of Electronic Shelf Edge Labels (ESLs), Scales and Wrappers (Food Wrapping Equipment). The rest of the time will be spent with our ESL installation team; carrying out store surveys and installing ESLs.
The Field Service part of the role is technical, we provide full training on the DIGI product range. The ideal candidate is someone with a real interest in IT (hardware and software), they have strong problem solving skills and they care about giving customers a positive experience.
The ESL installation side of the role is physical. The suitable candidate is one who can meet the challenge of a physically demanding role, and has a strong work ethic.
Company vehicle, toll tag, fuel card, mobile phone and laptop are provided.
We are recruiting a candidate based in Cork, however, travel is required and this will sometimes be nationwide travel. Overnight stays are a requirement of the role. All travel / accommodation / subsistence costs associated with overnight stays are covered by the Company.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Candidates must be fluent English speakers and eligible to work in Ireland
Full driver’s license is essential
DESIRABLE SKILLS
1+ years of relevant field-based work experience is an advantage

ESL Installation: Carry out pre-installation store surveys, cut and fit rails, install a high volume of ESLs per day, manage stock in / out of installs, get sign off on completion from the store owner or manager.
