JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Representative to formulate and develop communications requirements and design standards. In addition, the FSR will provide operations and maintenance support for satellite communication solutions at CONUS and OCONUS locations worldwide. The FSR will be responsible for the setup, configuration, implementation, operations, management, troubleshooting, and resolution of customer technical problems. They will provide technical problem diagnoses and resolution support for all associated subsystems, including line monitoring, modem loop-back tests, LAN performance monitoring, and terminal failure determination. Additionally, the FSR will provide hardware and software installation and configuration support.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS degree + 5 years of experience, or AA degree or 2-year Tech School with 2+ years of IT and/or Military experience.
  • Security+ CE Certification, or any other that meets the DoD requirements for IAT Level II.
  • Current and Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Available and willing to travel globally, including to austere environments. Travel can be on short notice. Typically, travel is approximately 25% of the time, but it could be up to 75% per year.
  • Able to lift and carry 70 lbs. for short distance.
  • Have, or be willing and able to obtain, a U.S. Passport.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with on-site Desktop Support.
  • Experience with U.S. Military (Contractor, DoD Civilian, Military, etc.)
  • Experience with VSATs and/or a basic understanding of RF Communications.
  • Familiar with basic networking and CISCO products
  • Experience operating large vehicles and equipment such as forklift or truck with a trailer.
  • Customer Service experience.
  • Experience installing network cabling.
