Position Summary The Field Service Representative (FSR) will provide maintenance, modification, launch and recovery activities for rotary-wing and fixed-wing platforms. The FSR will ensure aircraft are in good condition and safe for flight. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of aircraft to ensure operational availability. Sign off the release of aircraft for flight in accordance with approved technical data and service guidance. Perform airframe, powerplant, electrical, and/or avionics modifications to aircraft. Lead, train, and direct contractor and Government personnel in familiarization, maintenance and modification of aircraft systems. Maintain and update aircraft records and documentation in hard copy and computerized systems. Identify and source materials for aircraft maintenance and modifications. Receive material and update material inventories. Requirements Minimum Requirements Knowledge and Skills The required skills and knowledge include: Ability to work unsupervised to lead the maintenance and modification of a variety of turboprop fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft in domestic or overseas locations during operations, training, and test events. Ability to work with flight crews, equipment manufacturers, and engineers to install, test, and troubleshoot new and existing systems/subsystems on aircraft. FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required. FAA/FCC avionics certification desired. The minimum years of related experience required: Ten (10) years experience Education The minimum level of education required is: High school diploma and industry/military training for aircraft maintenance Desired Requirements The desired skills, knowledge, and education include: Inspection Authorization (IA) qualifications Other Qualifications Outside of the above, other certifications, licenses, or clearances include: Active DoD Secret security clearance Physical requirements for the job include ability to work safely on the exterior and interior of aircraft, either outdoors or inside hangar. Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and comply with OSHA standards. Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $90000 to $105000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
