JOB DESCRIPTION

The Field Service Representative services, repairs and performs preventative maintenance for a variety of instrumentation in the field and in the shop. As well as provides installation and calibration of instrumentation, offering support to Sales to solve service related problems. The Field Service Representative displays a high level of ability and competence, especially in the area of face to face customer service skills.The proportion of repairs performed at repair depot and in the field is variable and adjusted to the business needs .

Responsibilities:

  • Services, repairs and calibrates instrumentation in the field and in the service depot.
  • Works on a broad range of lab instrumentation or may spend a majority of time on one line of instrumentation with some portion of their time on other instrumentation.
  • Performs installation of instrumentation and offers support to the Sales team to solve service related problems.
  • Performs Preventative Maintenance (PMs) and calibration services that are assigned each month requiring ISO documentation to be completed and submitted to customers
  • Self-schedules work efficiently with customers as the requests come in.
  • Conducts self in a professional written and verbal manner and is clear and concise in explanations to customers.
  • Advises customers of repair status on an ongoing basis.
  • Responds to dispatched service calls within the guidelines provided.
  • Gives full and detailed account of time and work performed via the service work order being submitted after each service call or PM. Adheres to standards relating to work orders.
  • Performs other related administrative duties each month such as expense reports, etc.
  • In the workshop, receive and send the test tools according to the calibration planning. Receive and ship repair parts .

Minimum Requirements /Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a recognized technical institution in the discipline of Electronics or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Must have a minimum of two years experience as either a Service Technician or two years as a Field Service Technician
