Recruiting Solutions is seeking a Field Service Specialist for our client in Greer, SC. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (GED acceptable).
  • Practical knowledge of Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related issues.
  • Mechanical aptitude, with a solid understanding of basic mechanical and pneumatic operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to obtain a passport (required for international travel).
  • Willingness to travel 35-40% within North America.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently, with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative.
  • Availability to work overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support (mechanical/electrical) via phone for our customers, resolving any issues they face.
  • Collaborate closely with customers in North America to schedule equipment service and startup.
  • Travel to customer sites across North America for mechanical and electrical servicing on existing equipment.
  • Support customers on-site for the startup of new equipment, including:
  • Checkout and functionality tests of Allen-Bradley (95%) and Siemens (5%) based PLC controls.
  • Conduct operator and maintenance training sessions at customer locations.
  • Promote aftermarket parts and services during visits to customer sites when necessary.
  • Participate in annual training sessions in Germany to stay up-to-date with new developments and equipment.
  • Assist in-house with customer trials, ensuring the success of new installations.
  • Maintain and manage test equipment and contribute to general warehouse upkeep.
