Job Summary: Our Field Service Technicians keep our customers running. This position deals with every aspect of a petroleum system, starting with the above-ground tanks, pumps, monitors, fuel dispensers, and the point-of-sale systems on the tanks. Most days are spent diagnosing, triaging, repairing/replacing broken parts on tanks in the area. In addition to working with the crew on installations of new equipment/sites. The tank technician will be travelling to Fort St John, Grand Prairie, and Northern BC as required.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Take daily directions from the supervisor on the task to be performed.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on fueling tanks and systems.
  • Install, test new plumbing on tank setups at customer sites.
  • Analyze electrical and mechanical problems on fuel equipment and repair as required.
  • Housekeeping activities to maintain a professional image and ensure safe operations.
  • This role requires a significant amount of travel from site to site in a supplied company truck.
  • Accurately complete all necessary forms – work orders, inventory, checklists, reports, etc.
  • Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in a non-technical manner.
  • Stock and Track parts inventory in your vehicle to ensure materials are billed to the jobs.
  • Respond to after-hours emergency service requests for “site down” or other priority situations.
