Job Details Job Location: CC Richmond - Richmond, VA 23219 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $19.00 - $24.50 Hourly Travel Percentage: Road Warrior Job Shift: Day POSITION PURPOSE The Service Technician is responsible for providing field repairs for all automatic pool covers. This position prepares equipment for service jobs, drives to jobsites, performs necessary repairs, and documents all work completed. POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES To be successful in this role, an individual must be able to perform in a satisfactory manner the functions/responsibilities listed below. We will train the right candidate that has a strong mechanical aptitude. Travel in the local area is required. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automatic pool cover systems, performing the appropriate service operations indicated on the service requests. Participate in daily service team meetings. Prepare for service jobs by gathering necessary tools and equipment and the relevant paperwork. Verify essential jobsite measurements. Provide professional, courteous customer service. Make recommendations to the client for system upgrades, replacement covers, or other needed repairs to ensure safety and optimum system performance. Complete service paperwork carefully, documenting all work completed and parts/components used. If follow-up is required, communicate and document the work performed and additional service needed. Assist in training and supervising field service assistants. Qualifications SECONDARY FUNCTIONS Ensure the company vehicle is stocked with required parts. Ensure regular preventative maintenance is performed on the company vehicle and notify the Service Manager of any problems. Maintain the cleanliness of service vehicles. Maintain the cleanliness of the service area. Perform duties in off-season as requested. Prepare weekly expense reports. Perform other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that an individual must meet in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires regular exposure to an outdoor environment, noise, hot and cold temperatures, dirt/dust, moving parts, fumes/odors, and heavy machinery and equipment.
