Description DataField is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technician for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is responsible for providing on-site technical support, installation, maintenance, and repair services for a variety of parking systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent customer service skills, and experience working independently in the field.The Field Service Technician will serve as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring equipment is operating properly while delivering professional and responsive service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Diagnose equipment and system issues using effective troubleshooting techniques. Repair and/or replace defective equipment and components to restore proper system operation. Perform on-site installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of systems and equipment. Provide customers with honest, professional recommendations and solutions. Complete service reports, work orders, and other required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch personnel, customer service representatives, and internal team members. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional company vehicle. Present a professional appearance and represent the company positively at all times. Assist the Installation Department as needed. Support the Sales Team with technical expertise and customer consultations. Participate in ongoing training, professional development, and special projects. Requirements Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to prioritize tasks and work with a sense of urgency. Proficiency with SAWin software preferred. Ability to effectively use telephone and mobile communication devices. Ability to work independently and manage field assignments. Education and Certifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree (2-year) preferred. Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Ability to successfully pass a background check. Required Knowledge Safe and proper use of hand tools and power tools. Basic wiring and low-voltage electrical skills. Preferred Experience and BackgroundExperience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: CCTV and video surveillance systems Electrical systems Information Technology (IT) Parking and access control systems Working Conditions Drug-Free Workplace. Pre-employment BCI background check required. Occasional weekend work may be required. Occasional travel
