Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Service Technician with a strong background in electrical systems and experience in critical power environments.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for equipment installations, preventative maintenance, battery change-outs, equipment commissioning, and troubleshooting electrical systems in critical power facilities, data centers and IT Rooms. You’ll work both on-site at customer locations and in our manufacturing plant when not scheduled on service calls. This is a physically demanding role that requires lifting, travel, and flexibility in scheduling.


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college or trade school education preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a critical facility or relevant technical training
  • Solid knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems and principles
  • Proficient in using test equipment such as multimeters and battery analyzers
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work overtime, late hours, and weekends as needed
  • Capable of lifting and handling 5075 lb. batteries regularly
  • Selfmotivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on UPS systems, battery systems, and DC power equipment
  • Install electrical equipment, including battery cabinets, maintenance bypass panels, battery monitoring systems, and DC systems
  • Troubleshoot and respond to emergency service calls
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Provide exceptional technical support to internal teams and external customers
  • Support manufacturing operations when not on service assignments
