Job Description Reporting to the Service Supervisor, in this role you will be part of a National team of Field Service Technicians providing a prompt and effective service to customers within the Water, Power, Petrochemical and other associated Industries. In this role you will identify faults, repair, test and modify actuators in the field, carry out planned and preventative maintenance, mechanical and electrical installations of actuators and associated retrofit adaption of components, pedestals and drive shafts and completing accurate and technical site visit reports for each job. This role would suit a determined problem-solver, who can think logically for troubleshooting issues and has the willingness to travel extensively with overnight stays included. Qualifications Trade qualified. NSW Licensed Electrician with EEHA endorsement (EEHA preferred but not essential). Or Electrical engineering background with a NSW restricted electrical qualification Experience post apprenticeship in a practical engineering environment, preferably in a field-based role A full valid driver’s license is required. Proficient Microsoft Office user i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel Confined Space, Working at Heights, and First Aid Competence, or the ability to obtain. There will also be a requirement to carry out customer inductions, medicals and inoculations. Able and willing to travel for work purposes, both locally and interstate. Strong technical experience and/or relevant knowledge of valves, actuators and digital control systems and networks will be highly regarded Good understanding of basic electronics, electrical and fluid power theories Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and utilization of common test and calibration tools.
