SUMMARY
The Field Service Engineer-Service Dept. provides a strategic job at Salvagnini America. The position is responsible for providing on-site troubleshooting and repair of the equipment, customer support and training on state-of-the-art products from stand-alone machines to highly flexible automated systems.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Strong mathematical skills, including Algebra and Trigonometry. Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must have the ability to lift 75 lbs. without restrictions. Walking distances, transporting tools through the Customer’s location is required. Climbing steps and ladders, working in areas offering tight access is frequently required.
This position reports directly to the department manager, and includes the duties of troubleshooting and repair, customer training on the equipment, and on-site modifications to equipment. Submission of clear, and detailed, reports documenting the work performed, open points, and closed points in a timely manner. Professional appearance and good customer feedback is critical. Adherence to SOP’s and implementation of new procedures.
