Description * This role must be located in the Corpus Christi or Victoria Areas* The Field Service Technician will perform installations, troubleshooting, as well as maintaining products/equipment. FST will also identify, analyze, and repair product failures, order and replace parts as needed. The position is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate installation of network elements related to all new sales orders to include all the installation related to power and power back-up. The Installation tech will be responsible for testing the newly installed circuit and providing the proper documentation back to the Service Delivery group. Essential Job Functions Equipment Installation Maintenance and Reconfigurations Troubleshooting and Outages Trouble-Call Support Provide periodic after hour On-Call support Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Requirements High school Diploma or equivalent required Bachelor’s Degree preferred Valid driver’s license 3 years’ experience in the communications or telecom field Hands-on experience with the installation of electronic communication equipment Hands-on experience operating related test equipment Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects Achievement-oriented -- enjoys taking on challenges, even if they might fail Detail-oriented -- would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture Physical Requirements Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and reach Must be able to drive a motor vehicle Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English Must have visual acuity Must be able to lift 0-25 pounds
