Job Description We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our Hagglunds division, based at our Mackay, QLD branch. In this hands on role, you will support customers across heavy industry by delivering field based service, fault diagnosis, installation, and maintenance of Bosch Rexroth Hagglunds hydraulic drive systems. You will work with complex hydraulic circuits, rotating equipment, and auxiliary systems where safety, reliability, and technical precision are critical. Your hydraulic expertise, problem solving capability, and customer focused approach will directly contribute to reduced downtime and long term aftermarket success. Key responsibilities include, but not limited to: Respond promptly to customer service and breakdown requests, carrying out on site inspections, hydraulic fault finding, repairs, and system testing to restore equipment performance and minimise downtime. Perform installation, commissioning, and modernisation of large scale hydraulic drive systems, including motors, power units, pipework, controls, and associated components, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic system issues such as pressure, flow, contamination, leakage, overheating, and component wear, supported by detailed testing and root cause analysis. Prepare clear and accurate service reports documenting findings, corrective actions, and recommendations for ongoing reliability and maintenance. Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers by communicating effectively on site, recommending repair strategies, identifying spare parts and upgrade opportunities, and preparing service quotations. Manage service documentation including reports, vendor quotes, delivery dockets, and job records, ensuring completeness, traceability, and quality control. Coordinate the ordering, installation, and verification of hydraulic components, perform follow up testing as required, and represent the Bosch Rexroth brand with professionalism while maintaining strict customer confidentiality.
