SERVICE TECHNICIAN – GRAIN DRYING, STORAGE & PROCESSING SYSTEMS

Location: Kelso-based, covering Scotland & Northern England
Travel: Regional & national, frequent overnight stays
Team: Installation & Aftersales
Reports to: Euan Guthrie, Installation & Aftersales Manager

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Experience in servicing/repair of machinery or process equipment.
• Strong electrical knowledge (3-phase, control panels, motors, sensors).
• Mechanical knowledge (conveyors, gearboxes, bearings).
• Combustion system knowledge (oil & LPG burners).
• IT literacy for reporting and documentation.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel/stay away.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a skilled Service Technician to join our growing Aftersales Team. You’ll carry out maintenance, repair, and fault-finding on grain drying, storage, and processing systems across Scotland and Northern England. Projects are varied and hands-on, requiring flexibility, practical problem-solving, and strong communication with customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Service and preventative maintenance of grain drying and storage plants.
• Diagnose and repair faults in electrical (3-phase), mechanical, and combustion (oil & LPG burner) systems.
• Provide breakdown response and support to customers.
• Accurately record service work using simPRO ERP system.
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations.
