Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Field Service Technician to support the installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and service of MD Totco Rig Instrumentation Systems and related products. The role is primarily based on onshore rig locations across the North East Region of India, working under the direct supervision of an NOV Field Service Engineer. Key Responsibilities: Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of MD Totco Rig Instrumentation systems and associated products. Install and troubleshoot sensors, data acquisition units, servers, and workstations, including both hardware and software. Diagnose and resolve network-related issues ensuring optimal system connectivity. Conduct data quality checks, issue reporting, and troubleshooting to ensure real-time accuracy and reliability. Provide remote technical support to customers when required. Carry out testing and repair of equipment at the workshop. Qualifications & Requirements: Educational Background: BE/Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering. Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry (preferred). Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of digital communication protocols. Familiarity with data formats such as WITS, WITSML, Modbus, OPC, and their integration in real-time operations. Other Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work in remote field locations, and willingness to provide both onsite and remote support.
