What YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

You will conduct repairing, servicing and building LENTON threading machines and other related equipment and tools of the LENTON product line in Europe. From this role you will offer training by giving instructions at fabricators and on construction projects in various regions of Europe and communicating the nVent threading quality standards to operators and instructors for the LENTON System. This position will provide service support to the commercial team and customers including service trips across Europe on a regular basis aligned with service plans.

  • Working as part of a team within the service technicians group
  • Determining troubleshooting methodology (within set limits and, if necessary in consultation with service team)
  • Conducting telephone consultation for problems with distributors and / or construction projects
  • Carrying out maintenance and repairs on equipment, in house and at customer locations
  • Working with stock control of machines and spare parts
  • Supporting all regions with advice and collaboration on machine information and development
  • Coordinating with the Sales Director on machine availability and updates
  • Monthly reports to the Sales Director – service trips reports each visit
  • Responsible in service shop working areas and accordingly to local safety guidelines and standards, installation, assembly, commissioning, startup
  • Machine maintenance mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrics and control
  • On-site training and installing on construction projects, primarily in Europe.
  • Making/producing tensile test samples and supervising tensile tests
  • Conducting quality control by means random checks at distributors and projects, to ensure that we work according to the nVent quality and certificate requirements

You have/ARE:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in engineering maintenance or service
  • Mechanical equipment engineer, hydraulics, electrical knowledge preferred
  • Relevant H&S certification would be a plus
  • Fluency in English & Dutch
  • Full driving license
  • Ability to work from local company office/warehouse location
  • Ability to travel and visit customer locations.
