Field service technician Earthmoving, Crushing and Screening

$40 – $50 per hour

About the role

Joining the team at Porter Equipment Australia Pty Ltd as a Field Service Technician, You will be responsible for providing high-quality maintenance and repair services to our clients' heavy earthmoving equipment and crushing and screening equipment. Also to include our own hire fleet across the region. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring our customers' machines are operating at peak performance, maximising their productivity and uptime.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance services on a wide range of earthmoving equipment
  • Diagnose and repair faults and breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide excellent customer service and technical support to clients
  • Maintain detailed records of all service and repair work undertaken
  • Collaborate with the wider team to identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company policies and safety regulations

What we're looking for

  • Qualifications: Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent
  • Experience: Minimum 1 years' experience as a field service technician in the earthmoving/construction equipment industry
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management
  • Full driver's licence and ability to work flexible hours as required
