JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Field Service Engineer is a customer-facing role, responsible for delivering, setting out, installing, and conducting initial testing of ROWA robotic solutions on customer sites across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). The role requires working as part of a team to ensure the successful deployment and operational readiness of these solutions.
Key responsibilities include utilizing mobile solutions and various Microsoft packages, along with other software tools, to review drawings, oversee installation processes, and adhere to assembly standards. Technical part information will be electronically managed through downloads and uploads via the mobile solution, ensuring proper documentation and completion sign-off.
The successful candidate will join the installation team, reporting directly to the Technical Lead – Rowa Installation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • City and Guilds/BTEC or Apprenticeship qualification in an electrical or mechanical discipline
  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme card or equivalent is desirable but not essential
  • Proven mechanical aptitude with hand tools experience or Proven electrical aptitude with experience
  • Knowledge of low voltage supplies and control wiring if electrical bias is desirable but not essential
  • Full, clean driving license

Skills and attributes

  • Self-motivated individual with clear focus, able to work in small team under pressure
  • Proven team spirit/leadership
  • Evidence of practical engineering experience and competence
  • Evidence of understanding of engineering drawing
  • Ability to take measurements from drawings and apply to installation
  • Ability to safely carry manual handling, working at height (A frame ladder) activities
  • Evidence of safe working attitude towards self and others
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret information
  • Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills
  • Evidence of completing and finishing tasks to a high standard
  • Able to represent the company at all times; well presented, polite, courteous, punctual

There is also a requirement to travel domestically in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation at customer sites
  • Safe offloading, receipt and delivery of parts to installation location
  • Follow company and customer health and safety requirements
  • Follow company procedures and process for safe and technically correct installation
  • Raise shortages to the PM/Installation Manager and advise of part number and aid expediating and installation of shortage item/s.
  • Correct short commissioning sign off
  • Correct behavior on customer premises
  • Maintaining clean and tidy work environment at all times
  • Completing own administration in a timely manner, eg timesheets, expenses and training
  • Act in a professional manner at all times, promoting company’s ethics and values
  • Carry out other reasonable tasks as requested by line manager
