Field Service Technician Location: Dalton, GA Job Type: Direct Hire Pay Rate: Starting at $40/hour (may be higher depending on experience) Overview We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of power distribution equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and working independently in the field. This position involves frequent travel and direct interaction with customers, so strong communication and professionalism are essential. \n Key Responsibilities Installation & Commissioning Install and support startup of power distribution systems Perform system verification, testing, and commissioning activities Configure and troubleshoot HMIs and control interfaces Ensure compliance with electrical and safety standards Troubleshooting & Repair Diagnose and repair issues with 3-phase power systems, transformers, and electrical components Read and interpret electrical schematics and one-line diagrams Perform root-cause troubleshooting in live environments Customer Interaction & Support Serve as the primary point of contact onsite Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams Provide training and support to operators and maintenance personnel Documentation & Reporting Complete service reports with accuracy and detail Track labor, parts, and service activities Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements Qualifications Required: 3+ years of field service, electrical service, or related experience Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Experience working with 24V, 120V, and 480V systems Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings Willingness to travel 75%+ Valid driver’s license Preferred: Experience with power distribution equipment (UPS, switchgear, transformers, etc.) Basic PLC or HMI troubleshooting experience Commissioning or startup experience OSHA or safety training What We’re Looking For Strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in the field Professional communication with customers and teams Detail-oriented and reliable Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance \n
