JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our growing team! The successful candidate will be testing and certifying the performance of ventilation systems for critical environments such as cleanrooms and hospitals, testing and certifying laboratory workstations such as biological safety cabinets and chemical fume hoods plus a numerous calibrated laboratory instruments such as incubators and centrifuges.
We work in a variety of environments including medical research labs, pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, hospitals and government operated laboratories and facilities. When required we perform repairs to clean air devices and provide customers with guidance as to the operation and maintenance of their equipment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• College level mathematics is a definite asset.
• NSF49 Accreditation is a definite asset.
• Preference given to those with technician training in HVAC, electrical or mechanical equipment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of basic HVAC systems, basic electrical wiring and motor repair.
• General mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and effectively use specialized testing instruments and equipment.
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
• Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems and to troubleshoot new problems while working independently.

Such customers include universities, pharmaceutical manufacturers, research laboratories, forensic labs, food processing companies, government agencies for agriculture, food, health and the environment.

Le candidat retenu sera chargé de tester et de certifier les systèmes de filtration à haute performance (HEPA) et des environnements critiques tels que les salles blanches et les équipements pour les laboratoires et hôpitaux. Tester et certifier des équipements en laboratoire tels que les cabinets de sécurité biologique et les hottes de laboratoire chimique.
Nous travaillons dans divers environnements, notamment des laboratoires de recherche médicale, des installations de fabrication pharmaceutique, des hôpitaux et des laboratoires et installations gouvernementales. Lorsque cela est nécessaire, nous effectuons des réparations sur les équipements.

• Perform appropriate tests procedures upon clean air ventilation systems, cleanrooms, workstations and devices.
• Document results of tests and submit completed documents to administrative office for completion.
• Troubleshoot and repair customer equipment where possible.
• Interact with customer to provide guidance as to the operation and maintenance of their equipment.
• Perform other related duties and services for customer as required.
• Operate and maintain testing equipment and materials used in performance of job.
• Ensure any repairs and maintenance for testing equipment are performed in a timely manner.
• Utilize technical support available at head office when unable to troubleshoot certain problems in the field.
