Description Ford Office Technologies is growing, and we are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair wide format printing equipment at customer locations. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. Install, configure, and calibrate wide format printers, cutters, and finishing equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues. Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections. Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers. Train customers on proper equipment operation and maintenance. Document service calls, parts usage, and resolutions accurately. Maintain service vehicle inventory and tools. Travel to customer sites within assigned territory. Ensure timely response to service calls within assigned territory. Requirements 2+ years of experience servicing wide format printing equipment preferred (will train if needed). Knowledge of large format finishing equipment preferred (laminators, cutters). Strong understanding of electronics, mechanical systems, and computer networking. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals. Proficiency with Windows-based systems and RIP software. Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various on-site environments. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Manufacturer certifications (preferred but not required).
