Wood4Heating Canada Inc. is currently looking to hire a Service Technician to strengthen its service and installation team as part of its growth strategy. Wood4Heating Canada is offering its customers the sale, installation, maintenance and operations of commercial sized biomass heating systems using the most modern technology available from Europe. Our main market is our home province of PEI where we will soon be operating 20 heating systems. In 2020 we did start an expansion into Nova Scotia where we expect future growth due to the push to move away from fossil fuel towards carbon neutral heating solutions The new hire will as all service technicians be involved in the installation of new heating system as well as in the maintenance and servicing of existing ones. For new installation services we do offer our customers turn-key ready solutions implying an involvement into mechanical, hydronic and electrical work. Similarly also in the maintenance and service work we tackle a broad range of different tasks from mechanical repairs (ie bearing replacements, spare part repairs etc) to electrical troubleshooting (faulty temperature sensors etc) and the resolution of potential plumbing issues that may arise (e.g., pump failure). Daily tasks for a service technician include inspection and monitoring of biomass heating plants as well as tending to alarms that may occur within any of the locations.
Experience with biomass heating systems is not required. Training will be provided internally by Wood4Heating and in cooperation with European equipment manufacturer. Ability to use computers and common software programs would be necessary for certain tasks. Relevant background knowledge from either studies and/or work experience in at least one of the relevant fields (mechanical, electrical or plumbing) is however required. Position is salaried with salary being negotiable depending on prior work experience.
