Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ABB Motion Services is currently hiring multiple skilled Field Service Technicians to join our dynamic national field service team. We’re seeking candidates who hold a valid Electrical Fitter License, bring strong mechanical aptitude, and are confident using essential Microsoft Office applications.
In these roles, you’ll be responsible for performing testing, diagnostics, and service work on large-scale rotating electrical machines of low to medium complexity. You’ll also play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service and collaborating closely with both our clients and internal ABB teams. The work model for the role is: hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Executes service work with urgency and precision, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention through clear communication and quality delivery.
  • Identifies on-site improvement opportunities, collaborates with customers to resolve pain points, and informs account teams of potential solutions.
  • Performs certified field service tasks, troubleshooting issues remotely or on-site using appropriate tools, and recommends preventive actions.
  • Prepares materials and documentation, ensures readiness and quality of parts, and completes service activities to standard with a first-time-right approach.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  • Must hold an Electrical Fitter License or Restricted Disconnect/Reconnect License.
  • Requires frequent travel to remote locations and at least 2 years of industry experience.
  • Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude and provides technical support while adhering to OHS and regulatory standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office for effective documentation and communication.
