OVERVIEW

The Field Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the suite of IT tools and platforms used by field technicians and end users. These include endpoint management platforms (e.g., Senso, Incident IQ), printing systems (e.g., Papercut, Universal Print), Apple and Google device environments (e.g., Kandji, Apple School Manager, Workspace), and classroom technologies such as digital signage and display boards. This role ensures that field technicians have stable, functional systems for service delivery, and that users experience minimal friction when interacting with core IT resources.
This Administrator also serves as the first line of escalation for persistent technical issues, and owns the maintenance of the department’s internal documentation and knowledgebase (IT Wiki). In this capacity, they foster consistency across support workflows. They also monitor the effectiveness of field tools, contribute to lifecycle strategies for user-facing technology, and evaluate new user-focused platforms and utilities for potential deployment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent professional experience;
  • At least three years supporting enterprise endpoint/print/MDM platforms and end-user tech;
  • Experience & expertise in the following areas: Endpoint / MDM platforms, Senso, Incident IQ, Kandji, Papercut/Universal Print, Familiarity with Windows/Mac/ChromeOS imaging, deployment, and policy management, Tier 2-3 troubleshooting across Windows/macOS/ChromeOS/iOS, Documentation & knowledge management, and/or Basic scripting/automation;
  • Preferred certifications include: Apple ACSP/ACTC, Google Workspace Admin, CompTIA A+/Network+, ITIL, Microsoft MD-102, or similar;
  • Strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;
  • History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and
  • Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.
