Field Soils Technician -  Palmdale Twining Consulting, an innovative engineering, testing, and inspection company is seeking a Field Soils Technician to support projects in the Palmdale area. This position is based out of our Fountain Valley office with field work primarily performed at project sites in and around Palmdale. Candidate must be self-starting, be proactive, focused, detail-oriented, write concise and detailed field reports, and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include: * Provide grading observations. * Provide compaction testing on soils, aggregates and asphalt. * Document project grading activities. * Provide sampling and Quality Control of concrete and/or grout. * Provide special inspections per additional inspection certifications in accordance with approved project documents. Required Competencies: * ICC Soils Inspector License. * LA Deputy Grading certification is plus. * Nuclear gauge usage certification. * ACI Field Technician Grade 1 license is a plus. * ICC Reinforced Concrete is a plus. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, etc. * Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers, clients, consultants, contractors and potential clients.
