Description
The Role Weatherford is seeking a skilled Wireline Field Specialist to join our operations team in Bengkalis, Indonesia. In this dynamic field-based position, you’ll lead and execute a range of Wireline services covering both Open Hole and Cased Hole domains across onshore and offshore environments. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of services while maintaining strong client relationships and supporting continuous improvement across field operations. Key Responsibilities Execute Wireline operations including job planning, tool preparation, and equipment maintenance in accordance with Weatherford standards. Supervise all aspects of Wireline jobs, including load-out and backload, rig-up, winch operation, and tool calibration. Perform wellsite data acquisition and ensure accurate recording, processing, and distribution of logs and reports. Lead pre-job planning and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with QHSSE standards and operational procedures. Conduct preventative maintenance and calibration on Wireline tools, cable systems, and depth/tension systems. Serve as the on-site client representative, maintaining effective communication and customer satisfaction. Mentor and support junior crew members, fostering a culture of learning and operational excellence. Participate in service quality improvement initiatives, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and lessons-learned documentation. Ensure all job-related documentation including service tickets, tallies, and reports, is completed accurately and promptly. Maintain equipment, facilities, and work areas in safe, organized, and presentable condition at all times. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Geology, or related discipline; equivalent experience will be considered. 5 years’ prior experience in Wireline operations preferred. Completion of Weatherford certifications for Radiation, Explosives, and Pressure Control (or willingness to obtain). Strong understanding of Wireline equipment, data acquisition, and rig-site procedures. Mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of math, physics, and electrical principles. Proficient in Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to perform under pressure in demanding field conditions and remote environments. Willingness to travel, work irregular hours, and be available 24/7 as required. #LI-AG1
