Description We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Field Supervisor to lead and oversee field operations for subsurface utility locating projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in utility locating, crew leadership, and SUE Quality Levels B and A investigations. This role will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and in alignment with client expectations and company standards. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate field crews conducting utility designation, test holes, and related SUE tasks. Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. Utilize equipment such as GPR, electromagnetic locators, and vacuum excavation rigs. Conduct field audits, provide on-the-job training, and promote a culture of safety and accountability. Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure clear communication and deliverables. Maintain accurate field documentation, site photos, and daily reports. Assist with scheduling, logistics, and resource planning. Requirements 5+ years of experience in utility locating or SUE fieldwork. 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role preferred. SUE quality levels Public & Private locating Strong knowledge of utility types, locating techniques, and damage prevention practices. Electromagnetic (EM) Locating, GPR, and related technologies Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor environments under varying conditions. Strong communication and leadership skills. OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
