At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training.     Ongoing Full-Time opportunity The role will require travel around Northern Beaches and North Sydney region with flexible working arrangements available Salary ranges from $84,659 to $92,701 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading     About the role   The Field Support Officer delivers administrative and clerical support to assist field staff across the Statewide Operations Network.   This role is part of the Early Childhood Education and Care Regulatory Authority within the Department of Education, plays a key role in regulating and supporting a diverse ECEC sector with more than 6,000 services across NSW. Working collaboratively with team members, external stakeholders, and the broader community, you will help shape a sector that delivers the best outcomes for children and families. The team operates in a supportive and collaborative environment, driven by a shared commitment to quality and regulatory compliance.   Key responsibilities may include:   Providing high-quality administrative support to field staff to ensure consistent regulatory practices across the Statewide Operations Network   Managing records and information using relevant databases and systems, in line with departmental policies and procedures, ensuring accurate data entry and retrieval   Supporting research and project activities to assist field staff in their work   Preparing a range of documents, including reports and spreadsheets, to support operational needs   Supporting officers during site visits to assist with quality assessment and rating, and compliance monitoring of early childhood education services   Assist in supporting administrative functions of the broader Regulatory Authority to meet business needs, this includes administrative functions at Northern Beaches and North Sydney offices as needed   For further information please click here to view the role description   About you Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while consistently meeting deadlines   Sound judgement and problem solving skills to manage enquiries and escalate complex or high risk issues when required   Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on accuracy, clarity and professionalism and timely responses to internal and external stakeholders   Highly self-motivated, well-organised, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision   Understanding of, or experience in, early childhood education service provision, including knowledge of operational practices, regulatory requirements and quality standards.   Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.   Applicants will be required to declare and provide details of any investigation(s) that they have been subject to, at any time, personally as an employee of an Early Childhood Education and Care Service or as a Responsible Person.    Essential requirements of the role A valid Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment. A driver license and ability to undertake short-term travel, as driving is an essential requirement of this role.
