This role is essential for ensuring that manufactured products fit customer specifications perfectly, minimizing errors, and supporting both the sales and production teams. On occasion this role is responsible for Job-site repairs and fixes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Travel to commercial and industrial job sites to accurately measure existing structures and openings for new product installation, or in the event of a product error travel to fix the product on site as needed. Create detailed field reports, sketches, and photo documentation of site conditions, including all relevant dimensions, obstructions, and structural details. Communicate any measurement discrepancies, site challenges, or required design modifications immediately to the Sales and Engineering teams. Maintain and calibrate all measuring and field documentation equipment (e.g., laser distance meters, cameras, tablets) to ensure accuracy. Adhere to all company safety protocols and site-specific safety requirements while performing field duties. Assist the Sales team in technical support, pre-bid site walk-throughs, and project feasibility assessments as needed. Assist the production floor as needed when field measure work is complete. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 2+ years experience in a travel-heavy field position. Strong ability to read, interpret, and work from architectural and construction drawings (blueprints). Proficiency with measuring instruments, including tape measures, levels, and laser distance measurement devices. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Competency with technology, including mobile devices, tablets, and basic CAD/sketching software for field documentation. Proficient experience in welding, Welding certifications preferred. Responsibilities
The Field Measure Tech travels to job sites to perform accurate measurements, create detailed technical documentation, and conduct on-site repairs. They also provide technical support to sales and engineering teams and assist on the production floor as needed.
