Overview:
We are immediately hiring for a Field Technician 3 to lead and assist in the installation of all aspects of Distributed Antenna Systems, wireless backhaul, and DC electrical installations.

What Will You Do:

  • Leading and assisting Crew/Team with daily installation and maintenance responsibilities
  • Installation responsibilities can include, but are not limited to: Switch/Router installations, Fiber Optics Splicing, DC Power/fiber cabling, etc.
  • Responsible for job paperwork and documentation; turn in all safety reports and closeouts in a timely fashion, including Schedules, Daily Reports and Daily Time Reporting
  • Must adhere to and have an understanding of company policy and procedures including EOD reporting and recordkeeping
  • Technician to assist in the installation of all aspects of wireless backhaul, grounding, conduits, and DC electrical installations where applicable.
  • Installation of Various Models of Switches and Routers per the Manufacture and Clients Guidelines
  • Understand and abide by CL installation guidelines and procedures
  • Installation of Rack Equipment, including Shelf’s, PDU’s, Converter’s, etc.
  • Understanding and abiding by General Grounding standards set by the Client and Centerline Protocol
  • lnstallation of Telco/Electrical Conduits, including Trenching and Above Ground
  • Fiber Scoping, Loss Testing, Metering, and OTDR Testing of SM and MM Fibers for Various Networks
  • Fusion Splicing of Single and Ribbon SM and MM Fiber
  • Installation of Tyco and FDP Splice Enclosures
  • Fiber Cleaning Procedures per Client and In-House methods
  • Direct responsibility for tool inventory and upkeep daily on job site
  • Ensure safety at all times, including all aspects of PPE per the CL Safety Program Guidelines
  • Maintain vehicle maintenance and upkeep

What You Will Need:

  • 5yrs+ experience within specific technical environment & a drive and motivation to learn and grow
  • Experienced adhering to schedules, following instructions, self-performing duties and working with professionalism with team members, clients, contractors and vendors
  • Maintain a clean background and driving record
  • Ability to read and understand CD’s, Fiber Build Plans and follow a customer supplied MOP
  • Coax and CAT3/5e/6 Cable termination and testing
  • Fiber optic splicing and testing (OTDR, Loss Testing)
  • Script loading of various network electronics, including switches/routers/rectifiers
  • Electrical experience a Plus
  • Experienced with installation of inner-duct, conduits and cabinets
  • Desire to expand knowledge base and skills through on-site training as well as training by various manufacturers, trainers, contracts and team members
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Must be organized with a strong attention to detail; self-starter and team player

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regularly required to sit, talk, drive, and hear.
  • May be required to walk long distances, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach, and utilize both hands and feet in aerial and underground capacities.
  • Occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • May drive for extended periods of time.
